Wavves - King of the Beach

When I first heard this record, I felt like it was going to be my album of the summer. The weather didn't last, but I haven't been able to stop listening to 'King of the Beach' by Wavves.

It's a much more polished affair than his last two albums, but that feels like a natural progression given that his music is influenced by the sounds of Motown and Phil Spector produced girl groups. Whilst fusing that with garage rock isn't exactly a new approach, much like the Dum Dum Girls and Best Coast albums from this year, there are so many catchy melodies and enough of a new twist to keep it interesting. UK Tour

We’ve decided to start this blog as way to connect directly with people who are fans of our music. We’ll be providing updates on what we’ve been up to, forthcoming events and sometimes just shouting about things we love.
