Writing and recording

We're currently holed up in Witcomb Towers again writing, re-writing and recording demo's for what's becoming the bones of the album.

We will be going into the studio the last two weekends in June to record the follow up to last year's EP in the form of a brand new single. We can't give too much away but we hope you'll be pleasantly surprised by the direction the new material is taking us.

Keep your eyes peeled here, there and everywhere for updates as and when they happen.

Buddy Peace - 60 Seconds

Gifted producer, hardest working man in leftfield hip hip and all round nice guy Buddy Peace is currently posting a series of 100 minute long tracks for all to enjoy. Whilst I've seen projects of this style before, I've never seen anything to this degree - the quality an inventiveness of each piece of music is just astounding.

You can stream the music here.

Even if you're not a hip hop fan, please take the time to check out this thoroughly entertaining project. Buddy incorporates elements of indie, psych rock, electronica and a multitude of other genres, so you're sure to find something you like.

Samoobsługa

As some of you may know, the excellent artwork on our recent EP was done by up and coming artist Phil Cooper aka Petit Mal. I was fortunate enough to attend the opening of his latest exhibition at The Rumsey Wells, Norwich this weekend.

Samoobsługa consists of four cut up and layered installations that run the length of The Underbelly Gallery, linking together four collages by another great artist Sammy Merry.

It’s on all month and is without doubt one of the best things I’ve seen in Norwich for a long time, so please go and check it out!

Wavves - King of the Beach

When I first heard this record, I felt like it was going to be my album of the summer. The weather didn't last, but I haven't been able to stop listening to 'King of the Beach' by Wavves.

It's a much more polished affair than his last two albums, but that feels like a natural progression given that his music is influenced by the sounds of Motown and Phil Spector produced girl groups. Whilst fusing that with garage rock isn't exactly a new approach, much like the Dum Dum Girls and Best Coast albums from this year, there are so many catchy melodies and enough of a new twist to keep it interesting. Enjoy!

UK Tour

We’ve decided to start this blog as way to connect directly with people who are fans of our music. We’ll be providing updates on what we’ve been up to, forthcoming events and sometimes just shouting about things we love. From news posts and photos to videos and exclusive music, hopefully you’ll find something to interest you here.

We’re currently half way though our UK Tour with the following dates still to come:

20th August – The Haymakers, Cambridge
22nd August – Dublin Castle, London
18th September – The Hog In Armour, Norwich
18th September – O2 Academy, Sheffield

The first 3 gigs were some of the best we’ve played, so a massive thanks to all the promoters, other bands and to everyone who came to see us. Pictures to follow...
